WORDS
Solo from the choreographer and performer Mbekoum, who proposes her own choreographic view of the three phases of life†: chilhood – adolescence – adulthood.
The first scene, the harvest, represents the heedlessness, the light shows. The dancer with her smile, her body painted with ochre ground, symbol structure of the child.
Then second scene, the trouble, is about becoming aware of certain ambivalences, being the uncomfortable, tension/release, that the dancer expresses through the appropriation of the more important vital space.
The third scene, with the masks symbolizes the responsibilities adults has assumed. The dancer starts a fight that will free her from the prison.
The choreography links the three scenes through constant movement.
